No... the weather really isn't that frightful, but I gave my instructional speech on how to make snowflakes today, and I played that song for my attention getter.... but I will get to the details later.
I first wanted to address that I just found out Jake Barnes mom reads my blog! I find that SOOOO CUTE! She is a great lady and although I don't know her very well, she makes me smile whenever I'm over at their fine house. So yay to her!
Moving right along...
It has been sooo crazy busy since I last wrote, and I apologize for not writing sooner, things just alwasy seem to get in the way. Last week was sort of dull and went sort of fast until about Thursday. I had to have an article done for my News Writing class, and it was Tues. night and I had nothing! It was due 8:00 AM Thursday morning. Luckily, Bush had his annual state of the union address, and so I made that into a localizer which basically means I had to talk to someone, of signifcance, about the address. It worked out rather well and my teacher was very happy on how I wrote it. It made me very happy to see that I can pull things together in the last minuted! Basically the week wasn't anything special because all I wanted to do was go home once again to play games with my great friends! So Friday came along and I headed straight home after my classes. It was a nice drive and I got home a little before 7:00, which is when game night was starting. The funny part was that on my way home, Justin called me, asking me if I had food because he had gotten his wisdom teeth out the day before and he didn't know where Debbie was. I laughed at him cuz he sounded like a little child and so I got him some Panera Bread Chicken Wild Rice soup. Aren't I just too much of a pushover? Well anyway, I got to Justin's and Nate, Mike, Mark, and Justin had already started a game of Settlers. So I sat around and talked with them until Melanie came. Adam also showed up, same with Lee and Jesse a while later, and soon I found myself playing a very good game of risk, where I was the black plague and stretched out rather far... and then imploded upon myself. What can I say, I have no strategy. After that game, with of course Justin winning, we played this new game called Samuari Swords and let me tell you: that was the ODDEST game ever, and I still mix up the ronins and the kokus and the whatevers. HAha... that game made me lose all attention in board games... somehow Melanie, Justin, and I were the last players and Justin said we should just quit, so I agreet and cleared off my pieces, only to find that he didnt' wanna lose to Melanie, making me forfeit by myself!! I scoff at him very loudly now and make an angry face. Whatever... I would have lost eventually right?
Saturday was good because Jake was home!! So Jake, Nate, Jesse, Lee, Mike, Melanie, Adam, and myself were all at Adam's house, playing risk, and some peopel were downstairs talking. We then got hungry and went to the Buffalo Perkins at midnight where we had just a fun time talking and laughing and telling jokes; it was a good good time. Well then we got in our heads that ANOTHER game of Risk but present itself because Jesse had never played before! This was such a wierd game cuz it took FOREVER, and at one point everyone was in the running for winning at least once. Nate got cranky and finally he won and dominated the whole game.... at 4:30 AM!! Talk about a lllllaaaaaaaaaaaattttttttttteee night. Again? Heck yes! Just not THAT night... next time I'm home? of course!
Sunday was filled with taxes and Bethel information, and FAFSA, and all that good kind of paperwork. I actually filled out my housing application for Bethel. I'm really really excited. Everytime I get anything from there I get tingly and big smile crosses my face. Ahhh.... I hope I get the building I want! ::fingers crossed:: Well Sunday was pretty eventful because one, Holly somehow hurt my poor car (I'll get a pic to show you all) and two, I drove around forever. Nate needed a ride back to school, so I gladly took him. Since I was going that way, I helped out the Knapps by bringing Justin's biology book to him at Bethel. So Nate and I got there, and he showed us around a little bit (Second time for me but it's all good) and then Nate and I found our way (eventually) to the U of M. Then I was like well heck, if I'm in the cities I MIGHT as well get on to 94 and go East cuz that'll lead me right to Stout where I can go visit Jenny. So I was there a while, showed her my car, and left just in time to see Grey's Anatomy! Only reason I made it though was because the Super Bowl stuff went until 9:30, and Grey's usually starts at 9:00! Thank goodness for the Super Bowl!!
Now here I sit on a Tuesday night, with Monday long behind me. It was crazy. I didn't write my speech that was due today until last night, I had a speaker to go to for my news writing article I needed to write, and so it left me completely booked until about 2:30 AM. Talk about being exhausted! I fetl very stressed but considering that's my latest night at college doing homework so far, I can't complain. Needless to say the speech went pretty well, if shaking is considered not bad (hah) and even though I failed to do my Bible as Literature reading, it was four of the shorter Pslams and I quick read them before class. Go me! So I had a relaxing evening and am satisfied in today. And my oh my look at the time, homework is upon me still... so I must attend that... goodnight to all and oh yah! Sorry! One more thing... or maybe two. So I don't remember if I had mentioned that I might not be able to go to Montana as a leader, but I worked things out with my teachers and so everything is okay! Meaning that I may write a little blog before I leave, but from Thursday the 16th to probably Tuesday the 21st, don't expect any kind of update. And also you may need to prepare because since I'm going on thsi wonderful trip, you'll have to sit back and grab some popcorn cuz I can tell you now it WILL BE LONG. I am forewarning you! Okay, resume your evening activities! Good night all!
Sister in Christ,
Amy <3
